Bad decisions are not that bad – It’s never too late! ;)

Bad decisions are not that bad by Shailee Sheth

“Bad decisions make good stories…”

My friends, family, and all those people who are close to me know the real struggle of my life – Confusions!!! Ya man, I am a perplexed person with a lot of thoughts and overthinking. The issue with me is that I always have two views regarding the same situation. One which is right as per my perception (quite an obvious right?), but what is not apparent is that I feel that the other view of my mind is also quite convincing! Do you get it? If not, then let it be! This ‘confused’ sperm of mine can confuse you too!

The point to write this irritating paragraph is because, today, I had a question. Can we get the ultimate success if we took some wrong decisions in our life? I mean, I never imagined that one day, I am going to have a life like I am having right now! Eventually, everything had fallen into the right place, and here I am. A happy soul!

But; I have taken many wrong decisions regarding my course selections, people, career options, etc. If I could achieve those things which I left, I might be at some another level. But as all those kinds of stuff were not giving me happiness, I left them. Bindas!!! Now if I look at my life in that way, I always think that I am at the right place. Maybe a bit late but somehow I reached, and I have achieved! (I guess I was just lucky enough, that’s it?!)

Know what you DON’T want!

So, the ultimate thing is; it is not bad to take some wrong decisions. It helps you to understand what you DON’T want in life from now onwards. Here, make sure that you are not cheating yourself by convincing that it is okay not to continue that particular phase which might give you a better life! You can’t just ignore the fact that you made some bad choices. But, if you are ‘actually’ happy right now, then it is OKAY! Let go that stuff, and move on!

But; if you are not happy and keep thinking about the ‘MISSING’ things of your life, you should re-think about that so-called bad decision. If I talk about myself, I keep finding ways to change my perception towards my goals. That was a negative sign that I did not stick to my goal, but what to do! Life happened. So, I go wherever my life took me, I lived with the flow, and here I am! Safe and satisfied, and most importantly – Satisfied.

I took some bad decisions though! But ultimately, I am on the right track. The things I am doing right now, may not pay me much or the way I’ve expected, but it provides me satisfaction. Now, I am much more focused in life, because the field is MINE – which interests me a lot. Now I am not scared about hard work. I am not stressed. I just want to give my 100% to the work I do, and just want to be evolved.

Take your gut feelings seriously!

Follow your heart guys, it works! Never regret your past. It is the thing you can’t change. If you think that wherever you are interested you – go ahead. If you believe that ‘Nooooo, I actually took a bad decision and I don’t think I am at the right place, then my friend, for what you are waiting? There is no right time. THIS IS the right time! C’mon, be courageous and change it! It’s never too late to follow your heart and life is too short to regret anything!

Change your field, get up and plan, do hard work, just MOVE ON! If not today then tomorrow, you will reach there where you meant to be! Just believe in yourself and the universe! Those people can always win who knows the balance between when to stop and when to keep going!

  1. The opening paragraph is very nice. We are simple beings who are trained to over-think and over-do in a complex world! And that’s exactly where all the confusion arises.
The fastest way to learn how to make good decisions is to make as many bad decisions as possible in your early stages as that’s where you explore your problem solving abilities.
    Great work 🙂
